Aventura
Florida is a state located in the southeastern United States. Florida is situated mostly on a large peninsula between the Gulf of Mexico, the Atlantic Ocean, and the Straits of Florida. It extends to the northwest into a panhandle, extending along the northern Gulf of Mexico. It is bordered on the north by the states of Georgia and Alabama, and on the west, at the end of the panhandle, by Alabama.
Aventura is a municipality located in northeastern Miami-Dade County, Florida. The city name is from the Spanish word for adventure and was named Aventura because of the Aventura Mall in the city. In 2005, the population of the city was 29,391 and an area of 9.1 square kilometers. In the city the population was spread out with 10.1 percent under the age of 18, 4.6 percent from 18 to 24, 26.5 percent from 25 to 44, 23.6 percent from 45 to 64, and 35.2 percent who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 53 years. For every 100 females there were 80.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 77.9 males.
A city known for its historic myths and traditions, scenic beauty, cooperative people and luxurious hotels and cottages, Aventura is one of the favorite holiday destinations for most of the vacation lovers.
