Crystal River




The State of Florida is a state in the southeastern United States. Florida is situated mostly on a large peninsula between the Gulf of Mexico, the Atlantic Ocean, and the Straits of Florida. It extends to the northwest into a panhandle, extending along the northern Gulf of Mexico. Florida's nickname is the Sunshine State but severe weather is a common occurrence in the state. It is bordered on the north by the states of Georgia and Alabama, and on the west, at the end of the panhandle, by Alabama.
 
Crystal River is a city in Citrus County, Florida, United States. The population was 3,485 at the 2000 census. According to the U.S Census estimates of 2005, the city had a population of 3,600. The city was incorporated in 1903 and is the self professed home of the Manatee. Crystal River is located on the Crystal River and is home to a nuclear power plant, the Crystal River 3 Nuclear Generating Station.
 
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 16.2 square kilometers. In the city the population was spread out with 19.0 percent under the age of 18, 5.2 percent from 18 to 24, 20.9 percent from 25 to 44, 27.2 percent from 45 to 64, and 27.6 percent who were 65 years of age or older.

It can also be considered as the preeminent, historical and potential tourism destination that enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers to become one of the most visited places.
