Coconut Creek




Coconut Creek is a city in Broward County, Florida, United States. The city took its name from the coconut trees that were planted in the area by early developers. R.E. Bateman, a developer, named Coconut Creek after two Dade County cities are Indian Creek and Coconut Grove. The population was 43,566 at the 2000 census. According to the U.S Census estimates of 2005, the city had a population of 49,017.
 
The city is in northern Broward County. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 30.5 square kilometers. 29.9 square kilometers of it is land and 0.6 square kilometers of it is water. Coconut Creek is the home of Consumer Health Benefits Association a fraudulent health insurance provider that generates revenue by accepting a non-refundable deposit and misleading its customers about its service.
 
In the city the population was spread out with 18.0 percent under the age of 18, 5.6 percent from 18 to 24, 31.3 percent from 25 to 44, 18.6 percent from 45 to 64, and 26.5 percent who were 65 years of age or older.

It can also be considered as the preeminent, historical and potential tourism destination that enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers to become one of the most visited places.
