Bradenton Beach




The State of Florida is a state in the southeastern United States. Florida is situated mostly on a large peninsula between the Gulf of Mexico, the Atlantic Ocean and the Straits of Florida. It extends to the northwest into a panhandle, extending along the northern Gulf of Mexico. Florida's nickname is the Sunshine State but severe weather is a common occurrence in the state. It is bordered on the north by the states of Georgia and Alabama and on the west at the end of the panhandle by Alabama.
 
Bradenton Beach is a city in Manatee County, Florida, United States. According to 2005 census, the city had a population of 1,561. Bradenton Beach has a total area of 2.8 square kilometers and its population density was 1,040.4 per square kilometers where there were 1,762 housing units at an average density of 1,236.9 per square kilometers. In this city the population was spread out with 10.6 percent under the age of 18, 4.5 percent from 18 to 24, 24.9 percent from 25 to 44, 35.2 percent from 45 to 64 and 24.9 percent who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 50 years. For every 100 females there were 102.7 males and for every 100 females age 18 and over there were 102.0 males.
