Bonita Springs




The State of Florida is a state in the southeastern United States. Florida is situated mostly on a large peninsula between the Gulf of Mexico, the Atlantic Ocean, and the Straits of Florida. It extends to the northwest into a panhandle, extending along the northern Gulf of Mexico. Florida's nickname is the Sunshine State but severe weather is a common occurrence in the state. It is bordered on the north by the states of Georgia and Alabama, and on the west, at the end of the panhandle, by Alabama.
 
Bonita Springs is a city in Lee County, Florida in United States. According to the census of 2005, the city had a population of 37,992. According to the United States census bureau, the city has a total area of 106.2 square kilometers. Jay Arend is the mayor of the city and Gary Price is the city manager. The population was spread out with 13.9 percent under the age of 18, 5.9 percent from 18 to 24, 19.8 percent from 25 to 44, 28.8 percent from 45 to 64 and 31.7 percent who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 54 years. Bonita Springs is served by the Lee County School District.

The city is located on both Estero Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. Bonita Beach park is a 2.5 acre beachfront park that features a boardwalk and swimming area. Barefoot Beach preserve park is 342 acres of natural land and one of the last undeveloped barrier islands on Florida's southwest coast. Today, one can also learn about its history, from its earliest times and gain enthusiasm in its natural beauty and populace. The town has undergone some improvement in various fields and enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers.
