The State of Florida is a state in the southeastern United States. Florida is situated mostly on a large peninsula between the Gulf of Mexico, the Atlantic Ocean, and the Straits of Florida. It extends to the northwest into a panhandle, extending along the northern Gulf of Mexico. Florida's nickname is the Sunshine State but severe weather is a common occurrence in the state. It is bordered on the north by the states of Georgia and Alabama, and on the west, at the end of the panhandle, by Alabama.
 
Biscayne Park was founded in 1933. It is a village in Miami Dade County, Florida, United States. The village name Biscayne comes from an Indian term for favorite path of the rising moon. The population was 3,269 at the 2000 census. John R. Hornbuckle is the mayor of the city. The departments of the village, which performs main functions, are administration, public works and police. The key staff members include the village clerk, director of finance and administrative assistants. Biscayne Park mission is to provide the most efficient public services to the community and to work towards the betterment of the village.

The village has a number of recreation programs and activities. Various projects such as the cleaning up and beautifying of open spaces or helping a resident in need is taken up by the people.
