Its population density was 5,328.41 per square kilometers. The city is home to the Miami Dolphins and Florida Marlins both of whom play in Dolphin Stadium on land that was in Lake Lucerne.
Miami Gardens is served by the Miami Dade County Public schools district. American high school, Miami Norland senior high school, and Miami Carol city senior high school serve the residents of Miami Gardens. Miami Gardens is the largest city in Florida that has a majority of black residents.
